Autumn Beauty

For Sydney: It was lovely catching-up with you this Sunday. This post is dedicated to you and Izzy-- Thinking of you both fondly this beautiful fall season.

Make a left on Linwood, a left on Main Street, a left on Huron River Drive and you will arrive here. Our little city is nestled in all this beauty and on this autumn day, there's no plans, no deep thoughts, no human interaction, not even direction-- just stealing a little time for a carefree moment.

Time Passes

Time is passing by so quickly here. I need to catch-up to the falling leaves and will return here again.

Even if something is left undone,

Counting Crows

Found. At the end of our walk in the woods, we came across a large branch that had fallen off a birch tree. I decided to take it home, trimmed it, cleaned it, placed it in a terracotta pot, covered the pot in burlap, and strung orange lights around it. Having most of these items already available at home, this project only cost $12. Pretty cool. Home is starting to look like fall...

Where the Sidewalk Ends

Walking the street parallel ours, we discovered a fairy door. A fairy resides in the tree located where the sidewalk ends.

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black

My Hunters & An Orchard

My only August post. There's been no such thing as lazy days of summer here, just busy, busy, busy and in many good ways. Every weekend has taken me to joyful places, this one in particular to the great outdoors!

This was a beautiful morning spent in Utah. The view of the orchard (neighboring Kuya Dohn's place) enticed Ate Delsa to pick-up her camera, and I to put my boots on.

Ameet & Ally

Ameet and Allison (Ally) made a special visit one weekend. It was our first time meeting Ally and from the moment we said hello it was as if we've known her since we've known Ameet, that would be a long time. Suffice it to say we adored her and this weekend was the start of a beautiful friendship.

Big Bertha

Finally... Meet Bert, short for Big Bertha. LOL! I guess you could say that if Bert had a Godmother it would be Ting-Ting since she named our new ride. Bert arrived safely last month, albeit late from her desert journey. We've been breaking her in to the Midwest weather since. We'll enjoy her on the road in autumn and love her in the winter.
