People are strange when you're a stranger
Faces look ugly when you're alone
Women seem wicked when you're unwanted
Streets are uneven when you're down
When you're strange
Faces come out of the rain
When you're strange
No one remembers your name
When you're strange
People Are Strange-The Doors

I can write no stately proem
As a prelude to my lay;
From a poet to a poem
I would dare to say.
For if of these fallen petals
One to you seem fair,
Love will waft it will it settles
On your hair.
And when wind and winter harden
All the loveless land,
It will whisper of the garden,
You will understand.
To My Wife- With a Copy Of My Poems
Oscar Wilde

Hold me close and hold me fast
The magic spell you cast
This is la vie en rose
When you kiss me, heaven sighs
And though I close my eyes
I see la vie en rose
When you press me to your heart
I'm in a world apart
A world were roses bloom
And when you speak, angels sing from above
Everyday words seem to turn into love songs
Give your heart and soul to me
And life will always be
La vie en rose
La Vie en Rose - Edith Piaf

On this late dreary afternoon, we decided to visit the Paris cemetery. Three words to describe this resting place--ancient, eerie, and incredible! It's larger than we had imagined and the multiple entrances and countless pathways makes one feel that you are walking into a labyrinth. We noted quite a few tombs we wanted to pay a visit to, they include
Honore de Balzac,
Frederic Chopin,
Eugene Delacroix,
Pierre-Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais, and
Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette. At end, we only made it to the three above. (Oh, we did see the grave of Colette also.) It turned out to be more difficult to navigate through the many winding roads and grand tombstones. With nightfall approaching, we were very careful to make it out of the cemetery before nervousness hit...
P.S.
We were most impressed with Oscar Wilde's tomb. There were kisses galore on it which we thought was very sweet.
